1. Call Adrian from Jim’s Mowing 0435631611

2. Regular Mowing:

a. During summer grass is at its healthiest and grows faster

b. In summer you should mow WEEKLY

c. In winter every 3 weeks is fine

3. Edge your Lawn:

a. This will improve the aesthetics and preen the lawn from becoming overgrown

b. This can be tricky, and you’ll need the right tools

4. Repair bare and uneven areas:

a. Bare patches can stress the grass and increase the likelihood for weeds and diseases

b. Level out the uneven areas and reseed the bare patches

5. Use Mulch and Fertiliser:

a. Helps by adding essential nutrients which aids in growing

b. Fertilisers can also help control weeds and ensure resilience of your grass

c. Not all fertilisers are the same so ask for professional help – otherwise you could damage or even kill your grass

6. Adjust your mowers height settings:

a. Reducing the mower height in summer is ok as it grows faster, so won’t have much of an impact on the lawn

b. In winter, keep the mower higher as the grass grows slower

7. Avoid overwatering:

a. Mulch regularly to better the water holding ability in sandy soil

b. Cease watering as soon as the water stops soaking into the garden and lawn otherwise you will be wasting precious resources.

8. Aerate your lawn:

a. The technique for aeration creates tiny holes in the lawn to provide oxygen and sunshine to the roots

b. It also helps the nutrients to reach the roots and prevents weeds from taking hold

9. Keep and eye out for pests:

a. Nothing destroys your lawn faster than pest or disease!

b. Call in a professional if you aren’t sure on what to do

10. Apply the appropriate herbicides:

a. Herbicides help to keep the lawn free from weeds
